Christmas Themed Books - 2014 ~ Coming Soon to a Bookstore Near You

Do you plan to read some Christmas fiction this year?
I always like to read a few Christmas books to get me in the holiday spirit. I hesitated to do this post so early, but since all of the stores already have some holiday displays up, I figured -- hey, why not. All bold are some of the ones I am considering.  All of these release between Sept and November.  The ones in bold are the ones I'm considering right now.

  1. This is a fabulous selection. I doubt I will find any but it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling reading Christmas themed stories!

  2. I love Christmas books all year and am happy to see your list. I've got Tis the Season on order and The Christmas Cat at home. Dang, just looking at a couple on your list and I discovered that I'm going to be sucked into a lot of jumping around looking at Christmas books and adding to my wish list.

    1. Judy,

The last one is tops on my list, by Lea Wait -- she writes a series of art mysteries which I've enjoyed.

  6. Nice list! I don't have any of these but I will be looking for several Christmas time stories for my Holiday Challenge @ Caffeinated Reviewer and just for my own pleasure in Nov/Dec.

Interesting you have Lea Wait's book. I used to work at a school in a small town in Maine and Ms. Wait was a regular visitor to talk to the older grades about how to write creatively. Haven't thought of her in years. I remember she said she wrote cozies but never read them.

Enjoy the ones that you are able to get!

  7. I'm one of those people who doesn't even think about Christmas until after Halloween... and sometimes not until I've had my Thanksgiving turkey. I do, however, enjoy everyone else's early decorations and baking. :)

As for reading... I'll usually pick up one or two Christmas-y themed books or a cook book. Cookies. I need all the baking help I can get!
